How many of us have visited the Local Assembly before to either report a situation or enquire how to help in a situation? Actively participating inclusively in our own development includes showing interest in how the local Assembly machinery delivers on its mandate to the community.
Come to think of it; Article 16 of the Local Governance Act (a link to the Act) mandates the Assembly Member you elected to represent you at the Assembly to brief the community on the agenda of the ordinary session before its sitting and same after… has done happened before? If not, how then are you represented?
